Level 0 to Level 3: Sessions with Scratch and Tinkercad
Introduction to JavaScript
SCRATCH is a web-based program developed by MIT Media Lab. It is a high-level, block-based visual programming language used as an educational tool to introduce children to coding (suitable for ages 8-14). While the block-like interface makes it easier to translate logic into instructions ("code"), the possibilities to be creative can fall anywhere from simple to advanced programs.
TINKERCAD by Autodesk is a web-based CAD tool (computer aided design) for 3D digital design/modeling of physical objects through the use of geometric construction. It also introduces children to circuit simulation, where code can be created by using blocks or text. Ideal for young creative designers or those who want to learn more about programming and electronics (suitable for ages 8-14).
